HO Scale - SNEX Ballast Hoppers

With the purchase of each model a portion of the sale goes to support the continued restoration of the full size (1:1) equipment.

~ Built 1-40.

 

~ Rebuild in '76 with Morrison-Knudsen positional ballast doors.

 

~ Served the D&H / Guilford in New York and Mass until winter '87-'88 when they were sold for scrap.

 

~ New England Southern (NEGS) picked up the cars that same year as part of surface job on the Northern Division of the Boston & Maine in New Hampshire (Concord - W. Lebanon). Remained on NEGS until absorbed by Vermont Rail in 2020.

 

~ Purchased by Southern New England Railroad in 2021.
